Phyllis Jean Main Gordon, 89

Phyllis Jean   Main Gordon, 89, of Ellwood City,  passed away peacefully on Wednesday evening, January 31, 2018 at the Avalon Nursing Center in New Castle, after an extended illness.

She was born in Ellwood City on May 5 1928 to the late Curtis  and Edith Majors  Main.

She was a longtime member of  Park Gate Baptist Church.

Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her  children and  grandchildren.

She was married for over 43 years to her late husband, Donald L. Gordon., whom she married on October 19 1950.   He died on July 14 1994.

She is survived by  one son and one daughter:   Terry W.  Gordon (and Therese) of New Castle   and  Debra S. Gordon of Ellwood City.

Two grandchildren, Kelly  Schreckengost   (and Ron) and Michael  Gordon (and Gina)  also survive, as well as one great grandson,  Gabriel Schreckengost.

She is also survived by one sister, Patricia Procopio,  of Pittsburgh.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by one sister, Delphine Main.

Friends will be received from  10:00 A.M.  to 12:00 P.M. (Noon)  on  Saturday, February  3, 2018, at the Park Gate Baptist Church,  2840 River Road, Ellwood City.

Services will be conducted at Park Gate Baptist Church at 12:00  P.M.  (Noon) on  Saturday, Feb.  3 , with Rev. David Childs,  her pastor, officiating.

Memorial donations may be made to the Park Gate Baptist Church.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the TURNER FUNERAL HOME, 500 Sixth Street, Ellwood City.
