Jim Thompson, wonderful husband, father, and Pap-Pap died unexpectedly Saturday, 4-25-2020 at his residence. Jim was born October 22, 1945 in New Brighton, PA. He was the only child of Bob and Jane (Wycoff) Thompson, but he grew up with close cousins, Jack, Judy, and Jill who filled his childhood with laughter. Jim met the love of his life, Paige Porter, when they were in Junior High. Paige and Jim married while he was attending Slippery Rock as an education major. Jim would tell you that he took his bride to Europe for a year, compliments of the U.S. Army….

Jean G. Bush, 77 of Ellwood City, passed away April 23, 2020 at her home following a courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease. Born June 10, 1942 in Ellwood City, she was the daughter to the late Roy and Janice (Graham) Bash. Jean graduated from Lincoln High School. Following graduation she worked at the knitting mill before raising her family. Jean enjoyed keeping in touch with friends and neighbors, sending cards for special occasions and spending time with her granddaughter. Jean was a beautiful light who touched so many lives. Norma J. Frampton, 89, of West Pittsburgh, passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2020 at the UPMC Jameson Hospital. Norma was born on October 25, 1930 in Ellport to the late Harry and Thelma (Curtis) Lucas. She had attended Lincoln High School and the First Church of God. She had worked at Dust Proof and at the Ellwood City MOOSE Lodge #93. She was a great bowler. She won many awards and trophy’s for her bowling. Bonnie L. Rubino, 62, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 17, 2020. Bonnie was born in Ellwood City, Pa., on September 30, 1957, to the late Joseph and Elaine (Fenechi) Yarzebinski. She attended Riverside High School, Class of 1975. She was currently employed at Cobb Cole in Daytona Beach, Florida. Bonnie loved and cherished her family more than anything, but especially her granddaughter, Kami Jae Rubino, who was the greatest joy of her life. Deborah McDonald, 69, of Ambridge, passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2020 at the Concordia Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot, Pa. Deborah was born on January 31, 1952 in Ellwood City to the late Bernard L. and Frances M. (Vincik) Brown. She had graduated from the Lawrence County VO-Tech in 1969 where she studied business, and from Kent State University in 1973 with a degree in both business and marketing. Roma Jean Wallace, 85, of Koppel passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 13, 2020 at Heritage Valley – Beaver Hospital. Jack W. Lloyd, 96, of Medina Ohio passed away April 8, 2020. He was born in Ellwood City, Pennsylvania, on December 17, 1923 to the late Lawrence David and Mildred Pauline McClelland Lloyd. Jack proudly served his country in WWII from 1943-1946. He was in the Third Armored Division, which was a Spearhead Unit (meaning they were the first in battle). He was captured and held P.O.W. by the Germans during the last six months of the war. Jack was an active member of the “Barbed Wire Buckeyes”, a P.O.W. group for WWII veterans, for many years.
