Mr. Domenic “Mimi” Bellissimo, 94, of Ellwood City passed away on Thursday, June 10th, 2021 at his residence. Mr. Bellissimo was born on February 12th, 1927 in Ellwood City to the late Bruno and Victoria (DeCaria) Bellissimo. He is a graduate of Lincoln High School. He enlisted with the U.S. Army in 1945 and served in the Medical Corp. until his honorable discharge in 1946. He was employed at the Babcock and Wilcox Steel Mill for 10 years, the U.S. Steel Mill for 30 years and was the Caretaker of Locust Grove Cemetery for over 50 years. At his retirement…

Valerie R. Banks, 79, of Pittsburgh passed away Saturday, June 5, 2021 at Pennwood Nursing and Rehab Center. Born September 23, 1941 in Saint Marys, PA, she was the daughter of the late Whythe and Ruth McFeely. Valerie became a registered nurse after graduating from the Presbyterian Hospital School of Nursing. She was employed by Allegheny County. Survivors include daughter, Rachel Bargebuhr of Ellwood City; sister, Pam (John) Kautz; niece, Kathy Fragale and her family all of Emporium PA. Mrs. Rose Marie Brown, 83, of Ellwood City passed away on Sunday, June 6th, 2021 at the UPMC Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh. Mrs. Brown was born in Ellwood City on November 10th, 1937 to the late Bruno and Mary (Pezzi) Buccelli. She had graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1955. From 1979 until her retirement in 1999, Rose Marie worked at the St. Francis Hospital in New Castle as a ward clerk and nurses assistant. Richard “Rick” Moffett is celebrating his return to the Lord after 59 years of joyful life. Born in New Brighton on September 25th, 1961. Rick enjoyed living life to the fullest with the ones he loved. Rick spent 22 wonderful years with his lifelong partner Terri Lynn Hill. He loved to spend time with his family including daughter Chelsea (John) Duncan, son John Paul (Jessica) Hill, grandsons Johnny Duncan and Dylan Nulph. Mr. Eugene Leroy Stiefel, 94, passed away on Thursday, June 3rd, 2021. He was born on August 12th, 1926 in Ellwood City to the late Archie and Mildred (Jacobs) Stiefel and was a lifelong resident of Ellwood City. One of the few remaining World War II veterans, Eugene served on Guam as a Navy Seabee. He enlisted with the U.S. Navy on August 9th, 1944 and served as a Seaman First Class in the Guam Theatre and the Asiatic-Pacific Theatre until his honorable discharge on May 31st, 1946.
