Glenn Taylor Koach, 97, passed away peacefully of old age on August 18th 2021. Glenn, the son of Roy W. and Edna Taylor Koach, was a lifelong resident of the Ellwood City area, being born and raised in Wurtemburg, Pennsylvania. Geraldine L. Burns, 89, formerly of Ellwood City, Beaver and Mesa, AZ, passed away on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at the Sarasota Memorial Hospital in Sarasota, Florida. Born in Pittsburgh, PA on April 10, 1932, Geraldine was the daughter of the late Sidney and Dorothy Whittington Little.  Her husband, Donald Burns preceded her in death on January 30, 2010.  Geraldine retired from the State Attorney General’s Office in Pittsburgh where she worked as an administrative assistant.  She and her husband lived in Ellwood City for over thirty-five years and once they retired, they split their time between Western Pennsylvania and…

Amos L. Mazzant, Jr., 84, of Lake Wales went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, August 12, 2021 at Winter Haven Hospital. He was born March 15, 1937 in Ellwood City, Pennsylvania, to the late Ames and Rose Mazzant; he has lived around the Lake Wales area for six years after leaving the Seminole Reservation at Big Cypress where he was for five years where he had a golf ministry. Patricia “Patty” James, 77, of Ellwood City, passed away in her residence on Monday, August 16, 2021. Born in Conway, PA on May 20, 1944, Patty was the daughter of the late Stephen and Josephine Crapis Ecimovic.  Patty was a florist, working at Jean’s Flower Shop on Fourth Street until it closed and later at Heart’s Desire on Lawrence Avenue.  She enjoyed taking trips to the casino and watching HGTV, especially episodes of Property Brothers.  Most of all, Patty loved the time she spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mr. Xavier W. Folino, 78, of Slippery Rock Township passed away on Friday, August 13, 2021 at the UPMC Jameson Hospital in New Castle. Mr. Folino was born in Ellwood City on December 15, 1942 to the late Frank and Romola (Nardini) Folino. He had graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1960 and later from the University of Pittsburgh where he earned his Doctorate in Pharmacology.
