Riverside Varsity Pitchers Fox and Cameron Shutout Victory Against Mohawk

Riverside Panthers Varsity defeated Mohawk Area 10-0 on Monday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Danny Fox induced a groundout from Brayden Cameron to finish off the game. Riverside put up five runs in the third inning. The offensive firepower by Riverside was led by Fox, Drew Speicher, Ben Hughes  and Ty Thellman, all knocking in runs in the inning. A single by Tyler Cummings in the fourth inning was a positive for Mohawk Area. Fox was the winning pitcher for Riverside. Baseball Recap: Boehm Strikes Out 10 In Panthers Victory, Wolverines Comeback Late For Win

Boehm Victorious In Pitcher’s Duel For Riverside Both teams were strong on the mound Friday, but the Riverside Panthers defeated South Side 3-1 behind the arm of Gunnar Boehm. Boehm allowed just four hits to South Side and earned the victory on the pitcher’s mound for Riverside (7-1 overall). He lasted seven innings, allowing four hits and one run while striking out ten and walking one. Riverside had ten hits in the game and never trailed. EC Wolverines Clinches The Lead, Riverside Panthers Nabs The Win

Ellwood City Wolverines Clinches Lead in Fifth Inning to Defeat Mohawk Area Ellwood City Wolverines took the lead late in the game in a 6-4 victory over Mohawk Area on Wednesday. The game was tied at two with Ellwood City Wolverines batting in the top of the fifth when Sammy DiCaprio singled on a 1-2 count, scoring two runs. Ellwood City Wolverines opened up scoring in the first inning. An error scored one run for Ellwood City Wolverines. EC Junior High Softball Team Runs Record to 4-0 Ambridge

Another day, another mercy rule shortened victory for the Lady Wolverines. This time, Ambridge was the victim of a 13-1 five inning win at Stiefel Park.   The offense was potent once again as eight different players pounded out 10 hits on the day. Kali Barnett and Maddie Hicks led the way with two singles apiece. Katelyn Wehman and Aliya Garroway each added doubles with Wehman’s shot one bouncing the fence in left field to plate 3 runners. PHOTOS: Four RBI Day for Mittler Leads Wolverines Rout Over Riverside

Four runs batted in from Reagan Mittler helped lead Wolverines past Riverside in a 20-5 rout on Saturday. Mittler drove in runs on a single in the first and a double in the second. The Wolverines (3-2 overall) fired up the offense in the first inning, when Anna Ferrucci singled scoring the game’s first run.  Ellwood City scored in every inning thereafter including a 9-run outburst in the second frame. Gunnar Boehm’s five-RBI outburst sealed the deal in Riverside’s 11-1 mercy rule victory over Ellwood City on Friday afternoon at Dan Oliastro Field. Boehm showed timely hitting on Friday, driving in five runs on only two hits including the grand slam in the pivotal, 7-run 4th inning to lead Riverside. Boehm also doubled in a run in the sixth. Bats Blistered as Riverside Panthers Defeats Beaver Falls, 14-9 Both pitching staffs had their hands full on Tuesday in a high-scoring affair where the Riverside Lady Panthers bested Beaver Falls, 14-9. The Panthers (1-1 overall) opened up scoring with a six-run first inning and crept out to a 9-2 lead before the Tigers were able to respond. Beaver Falls scored four runs in the third inning. The Riverside Panthers easily dispatched New Brighton 11-1 on Monday afternoon at Dan Oliastro Field. Riverside (3-1 overall) got on the board in the first inning with some power as Austin Dambach smashed a 2-run home run to stake the Panthers to an early lead. A walk-off single propelled Wolverines to a decisive, dramatic victory over Avonworth, 20-19 on Friday afternoon. Wolverines trailed 19-18 in the bottom of the seventh inning after rallying from a double digit deficit when Reagan Mittler singled on a 2-2 count, scoring two runs. There was plenty of action on the basepaths as Wolverines collected 13 hits and Avonworth had 11 in a wild game that featured four combined home runs, 24 walks by both teams, and ten combined errors in the contest.
