Girls and Boys Soccer in the WPIAL PLAYOFFS

Both the Riverside Girls and Boys Soccer Teams qualified for the WPIAL Playoffs. The boys will play first as they play this Saturday, October 21 at 3PM at North Allegheny High School as they take on Freeport High School.  The bus will leave from the high school K- Center parking lot at 1 PM. The girls will open up play on Monday, October 23 at 6PM at Moon high School as they will play South Side High School.  The bus will leave at 4PM from the high school K- Center Parking lot Congrats to both teams on making the playoffs…


Ellwood City Senior/Parent Recognition Night

The Senior/Parent Recognition Night will be taking place on October 20 and the schedule of events is as following: 6:00 – Parents/escorts arrive at Helling Stadium (please report to the end zone by the baseball field) 6:15 – Parents and athletes will be aligned alphabetically beginning with the football team 6:30 – Pre-game show Marching Blue Band 6:40 – Introduction of parents and athletes 7 – Riverside vs. Ellwood City


Riverside Sophomores Advance to Golf PIAA Finals

Riverside Sophomores, Skylar Fox and Justin Hand advanced to the PIAA Individual Golf Finals next week in Hershey. Both will compete in the state finals based on their performance in the western finals.  


Derry Has Success in Run Game, Cruises Past Wolverines

The Wolverines have had issues with keeping players on the field throughout the year due to lingering injuries. The same occurred Friday night as three starters were injured during a conference game match-up against favorited Derry Trojans. Derry came into the evening with only loss to conference foe Elizabeth Forward. The Wolverines came into the game hoping to pick up their third win on the season in preparation of upcoming rival Riverside. Riverside Golf Team to Compete in WPIALs

The Riverside Golf Team qualified for the WPIAL team playoffs and will be competing tomorrow, Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at Indian Run Golf Course in Avella, PA., at 9:00 a.m. The team will leave at 6a.m. from the high school parking lot. Passing has become a focal point for the Wolverines in the past two weeks as Ellwood has had much success in the quick-strike, quick-score type of plays. Friday’s game was no pushover as well in the passing game; however, the Beaver Bobcats had their own “ace” at the quarterback position, Brodie List, who helped the Bobcats spoil the evening 57-14 on Homecoming night. Lincoln Graduate Gets First Career Sack Against Cornell

Nicholas Ioanilli, Lincoln graduate of 2016 is now attending Colgate and playing for their football team as a middle linebacker.
