As provided by the Ellwood City Area School District, the following is ticket information for the Ellwood City Homecoming Football game this Friday. Tickets for Ellwood City Homecoming Football game this Friday will be sold in the main office at the high school. Please note that there will be no student tickets sold at the gate. Ellwood City Cross Country Remains Undefeated, EC Girls Tennis Beats Riverside; Panther Soccer Teams Victorious

The Ellwood City Boys Cross Country team remains undefeated after its victory at Southside Beaver on Tuesday. The boys defeated opponents Shenango (21-26), Southside Beaver (15-50), and Beaver Falls (15-50).  Top runners for the Wolverines were Anthony Spadafore (2nd place, 19:31), Joel Brooks (4th place, 19:46), Colton Crizer (5th place, 20:04), Nick Wise (6th place, 20:19), and Ian Stoneking (8th place, 21:22). “All the boys ran a great race,” said head coach Mark Hall. A second place finish by Anthony Spadafore and strong performance by Colton Crizer led Ellwood City to its cross country victory on Tuesday at Laurel. Ellwood City defeated host Laurel, (17-44), Union (15-50), and Freedom (15-50) at the meet. Reisinger Helps Lead Pioneers; Volleyball Coach Nets 400th Victory

Rob Snyder won his 400th career game as coach of the Butler County Community College volleyball team Monday night as the Pioneers swept Penn State-Beaver at BC3’s Field House. Breanna Reisinger, a freshman outside hitter and graduate of Lincoln High in Ellwood City, led the Pioneers with four aces and added seven kills against the Nittany Lions. “Rob,” Reisinger said, “was very quiet about this. Ellwood City cross-country runner Anthony Spadafore set a new course record at Brush Creek Park on Tuesday as the Wolverines boys defeated both Neshannock and New Brighton, 24-32 and 21-34 respectively. Spadafore finished in 1st place with a time of 18:29. Ellwood City posted a clean sweep Thursday afternoon with girls tennis, co-ed golf, and volleyball all collecting victories. The Ellwood City Girls Tennis Team defeated Beaver Falls 5-0 to even their record to 1-1 on the season.  Maddy McCommons (6-1, 6-0) and Rylea Heitzenrater (6-0, 6-0) collected singles victories. Both local girls volleyball teams have started their respective regular season campaigns this month. Ellwood City has seen significant gains in its short program history while the Riverside girls are starting their own journey with the launch of their volleyball program. For the Wolverines, their volleyball program has ascended to new levels over the past few years.
