UPDATE (01/22/24): The Ellwood City boys basketball game against New Brighton that was postponed will be made up on January 31st
According to information made available by the school district, the Ellwood City boys basketball game scheduled at New Brighton Friday night has been postponed.
No further information or reschedule date has been announced as of noon on Friday.
The Wolverines currently carry a three game winning streak and are winners of five of their last six games after knocking off Riverside on Tuesday.
According to the National Weather Service, a Winter Weather Advisory is in place for Ellwood City and will remain in effect until 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Snow accumulations less than one inch but will impact roads and cause slippery and hazardous driving conditions.
As of noon on Friday, all Riverside athletic events, including a freshman basketball at Neshannock scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Friday afternoon and Junior Varsity (6:00 p.m.) and Varsity (7:30 p.m.) boys basketball games against Beaver Falls at Riverside High School will proceed as scheduled.
