Lincoln High School Top Nine & Graduating Class of 2023

The Lincoln High School graduating Class of 2023 will receive their diplomas Thursday, June 1st, during a ceremony scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at Helling Stadium in Ewing Park. Lincoln High School is graduating 89 students with nine students receiving high honors. Students will follow 2022-23 classes for the last time on Wednesday. Tenaris Launches Longstanding Merit Awards In Beaver County

Tenaris has launched its Merit Awards, the company’s longest running education-based program, in Beaver County, Pennsylvania, awarding a total of $25,000 in scholarships. Five seniors from Ambridge Area High School and five from Beaver Falls High School each received Merit Awards of $2,500, in recognition of their academic performance. POLICE: Weekly Police Blotter

BURGLARY: Katyln Kelosky, 34, of Ellwood City, is charged with Burglary and Criminal Trespassing after an incident on May 12th. According to a criminal complaint, and at approximately 12:52 p.m., police were dispatched to a Dollar General, at Woodside Avenue, Wayne Township for a reported theft. Police made contact with the store manager who related that Kelosky had been entering the store when no one should be present and taking money from the safe. Surveillance footage confirm Kelosky as the perpetrator and further footage was able to confirm five dates where Kelosky entered the store and removed cash and drinks…

LHS Class of 2003 To Hold Its 20 Year Reunion In June

On June 24, 2023 the Lincoln High School Class of 2003 will hold its 20 year reunion. It will be held at Robert E. Rodgers Memorial Park in Ellport from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Several members of the class began discussing the reunion during the summer of 2022 according to former class president, Dr. Cassie Leymarie PhD, now of Atlanta, Georgia. ELLWOOD Announces 2023 Industrial Maintenance Scholarship Winners

ELLWOOD today announced the recipients of the group’s 2023 Industrial Maintenance Scholarship awards. Three graduating seniors were each awarded $10,000 scholarships as part of the program. The Industrial Maintenance Scholarship program is a unique opportunity available to high school seniors and/or those who have successfully completed the GED test who plan to attend an accredited trade school, college or university following graduation. The scholarships are made available each year to graduates who are considering pursuing a certificate or degree in Mechatronics, or an equivalent industrial maintenance program. PHOTOS: Perry Lower Intermediate School Hosts 3rd Annual Careers On Wheels

Last Thursday, third and fourth grade students in Perry Lower Intermediate School participated in the school’s Third Annual Careers on Wheels event. Due to construction at Perry School grounds, the event was held by the stadium at Ewing Park and hosted 21 different vehicles according to Ellwood City School Counselor, Christina Mendillo.
