ELLWOOD Announces 2023 Industrial Maintenance Scholarship Winners

ELLWOOD today announced the recipients of the group’s 2023 Industrial Maintenance Scholarship awards. Three graduating seniors were each awarded $10,000 scholarships as part of the program.

The Industrial Maintenance Scholarship program is a unique opportunity available to high school seniors and/or those who have successfully completed the GED test who plan to attend an accredited trade school, college or university following graduation. The scholarships are made available each year to graduates who are considering pursuing a certificate or degree in Mechatronics, or an equivalent industrial maintenance program.

The 2023 recipients are:

West Middlesex High School senior, William Booth. Booth was awarded a $10,000 ELLWOOD Industrial Maintenance Scholarship to pursue his career in Mechatronics, a field of engineering that merges mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and computer science. Booth will continue his education at PennWest California University.

Newton Falls High School (OH) senior, Cameron Hunt. Hunt was awarded a $10,000 ELLWOOD Industrial Maintenance Scholarship to pursue his career in Electrician Technology. Hunt will continue his education at Pittsburgh Technical College.

Youngstown Rayen Early College (OH) senior, Jourdan Judge. Judge was awarded a $10,000 ELLWOOD Industrial Maintenance Scholarship to pursue his career in Industrial Maintenance as an Electrician. Judge will continue his education at New Castle School of Trades.

The Industrial Maintenance Scholarship program highlights ELLWOOD’s commitment to a continued investment in students throughout the communities in which ELLWOOD has a presence. ELLWOOD has 25 locations throughout the United States including facilities in Pennsylvania (Ellwood City, New Castle, Hermitage, Sharon, Erie, Irvine, & Corry); Ohio (Hubbard & Stow); Michigan (Sterling Heights); and Texas (Houston & Navasota).

Interested students are encouraged to visit ELLWOODgroup.com/maintenance to find out more information about the opportunity, ELLWOOD will begin accepting applications for the 2024 award cycle this fall. Each scholarship is only applicable for tuition towards a Mechatronics or an equivalent industrial maintenance program at an approved trade school, college, or university.
