Ellwood City Community Health Foundation Now Accepting Scholarship Applications

The Ellwood City Community Health Foundation (ECCHF) is now accepting scholarship applications for the 2024-2025 Academic Year through June 30, 2024. The Foundation will issue scholarships each year to individuals who enroll in higher education to pursue a career in the medical field. The individual needs to be a resident of either Ellwood City, Lawrence County, or Beaver County, Pennsylvania. Ellwood City Wolves Club Monthly Meeting Recap

The Ellwood City Wolves Club Den 11 met on Wednesday April 11, 2024 at the Connequenessing Country Club providing updates on the golf bash and scholarships. President Mike DeOtto opened the meeting and welcomed club members and guests. Golf Bash Chairman Chris Cioffi reported on the February 18, 2024 Golf Bash at the Sons Of Italy. The Golf Bash was a well attended event with 375 golfers there. It raised $22,400.00 for the scholarship fund. A partner in this endeavor is the Divine Grace Christian Mothers. Ellwood City Historical Society To Award Four Scholarships

The Ellwood City Area Historical Society will award four (4) fifteen hundred dollar ($1,500.00) scholarships this year. All graduating seniors living in the Ellwood City Area School District or the Riverside School District are eligible. Applications and requirements may be obtained from either high school Guidance Counselor, or from the Ellwood City Area Historical Society. The History Center at 310 5th Street is open Monday through Thursday from 10 am until 2 pm. Williams Accepts Softball Scholarship With Fairmont State University

Last week, Riverside senior shortstop Mia Williams signed to continue her athletic career at Fairmont State University. Williams has started and lettered the past three years of varsity softball and has been named the Beaver County Times Athlete of the Week. As a junior, Williams doubled and collected three RBIs to help lead the Lady Panthers to the quarterfinals of the WPIAL Playoffs for the first since 2013. Williams is going to study nursing at Fairmont State University. Application Deadline Nears For Record 155 BC3 Scholarships

Six scholarships administered by the Butler County Community College Education Foundation will debut in the 2023-2024 academic year and increase to 155 the record number of named financial awards available to BC3 students, a college administrator said. Students registered in fall 2023 credit programs can apply for a scholarship until July 1, said Bobbi Jo Cornetti, development coordinator of the foundation that distributed 148 named financial awards and a record $292,123 to BC3 students in the 2022-2023 academic year. Ellwood City Wolves Club Awards $18,035 in Scholarships This Year To Local Students

On Wednesday, May 31st, the Ellwood City Wolves Den II hosted a dinner to honor the recipients of the Wolves Club Scholarships for 2023. Ten Wolves Club Scholarships, with a value of $18,035, were awarded this year including three new ones. Wolves Club president, Mike DeOtto commented, “Higher education puts students on the path to many different careers. Two Local Students Receive Scholarships At Municipal Woman’s Club May Banquet

Two local students received scholarships as part of the Municipal Woman’s Club banquet that took place May 22nd at Joey’s Event Room on Lawrence Avenue Gianna Fotia, of Lincoln High School, and Abigail Hughes, of Riverside Beaver County, were the recipients of the scholarships. Tenaris Launches Longstanding Merit Awards In Beaver County

Tenaris has launched its Merit Awards, the company’s longest running education-based program, in Beaver County, Pennsylvania, awarding a total of $25,000 in scholarships. ELLWOOD today announced the recipients of the group’s 2023 Industrial Maintenance Scholarship awards. Three graduating seniors were each awarded $10,000 scholarships as part of the program. The Industrial Maintenance Scholarship program is a unique opportunity available to high school seniors and/or those who have successfully completed the GED test who plan to attend an accredited trade school, college or university following graduation.
