POLICE: Weekly Police Blotter

ASSAULT: On July 23rd at approximately 8:09 a.m. police were called due to a report of domestic abuse between a male and female at a residence on State Line Road, Little Beaver Township. The caller advised police that the female told him she was struck with a gun by her boyfriend, Denis Lozinsky. According to a criminal complaint police arrived on scene and had concluded that the victim was no longer inside the residence. Officers attempted to hail Lozinskiy before making entry. It is reported that Lozinskiy then used the weapon to end his life as police entered the residence….


Lawrence County Awarded Municipal Waste Planning Grant

HARRISBURG – Rep. Marla Brown (R-Lawrence) is pleased to announce Lawrence County has been awarded a $72,675 Municipal Waste Planning Grant by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP). Lincoln High School Class of 1964 Reunion Nearing

The 60th class reunion of the LHS Class of 1964 is getting closer. The reunion will start at 5:00 p.m. at the Connoquenessing Country Club on August 24, 2024. Ellwood City Historical Society – August Update

At the August meeting of Ellwood City Historical Society, the board reviewed the Ways and Means committee reports. The Annual Fund Drive started June 15, 2024 and will end on August 15, 2024. Andy Kindle chairman of the committee stated that the society has received 70% of the $10,000.00 goal. The Society still needs the communities help to raise the needed $3,000.00. Dunkin’ Grand Opening Set For Monday, August 19th

Ellwood City runs on Dunkin’ The new Ellwood City Dunkin’ location is set to hold its grand opening on Monday, August 19th. This official announcement was provided this week by its franchise group, Heartland Restaurant Group.
