Downtown Ellwood City was under the lens and captured on camera last month during the “Let There Be Lights” celebration along Lawrence Avenue. Ellwood City Declares State of Emergency Due to Weather Conditions

Mayor Anthony J. Court along with the borough of Ellwood City has declared a state of emergency today January 26, 2026. Ellwood City and many surrounding communities received upwards of a foot of snowfall throughout the day Sunday and will be faced with bitter cold temperatures for the next week. In advance of the winter storm the borough provided residents with safety information including local warming centers. With the approaching winter storm, the Borough of Ellwood City would like to reach out to all residents and provide some safety information. This is going to be a prolonged storm with snow starting to fall Saturday night and the heaviest amount of snow falling between 7am and 7pm on Sunday. Ellport Borough Awarded Funds For Waste Water Treatment Plant Upgrades

HARRISBURG – Sen. Elder Vogel, Jr. (R-47) today announced more than $5.6 million in state grant funding to support roadway and sewer infrastructure projects in Beaver, Butler and Lawrence counties, which was administered by the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA).
