Meals on Wheels Looking for Volunteer Drivers

Meals on Wheels is more than just food; it’s a lifeline that combats hunger, isolation, and helps people stay independent in their homes and the local program which serves nearly 50 local folks in need of meals, is looking for drivers. Every day, local volunteers hit the road to deliver hot, nutritious meals to seniors and individuals with disabilities for the Meals on Wheels program, but the demand for these life-sustaining deliveries is outpacing the number of drivers available. Ellwood City Looking To Hire Head Football and Basketball Coaches

The Ellwood City Area School District is seeking applicants to fill its anticipated vacancies for head football coach and head boys basketball coach. Current coach Dan Bradley is moving on from his positions after four seasons with the Wolverines. Bradley will wrap up as head coach of 2025-26 boys basketball season (currently 7-8 Overall) this winter after steering the Wolverines football team to a second consecutive playoff berth and a 7-5 record in the fall. Borough of Ellwood City Christmas Tree Disposal Available

Taking down the Christmas tree is only one task after the holiday season. For families with real trees, figuring out what to do with them may be a whole other task. According to information made available by the Borough of Ellwood City, residents may drop off live Christmas trees at Stiefel Park, just inside the park entrance from Brighton Road, now through January 31, 2026. Energy Exec Gives Alma Mater BC3 $100K, Creating 125 Scholarships
