ECASD Board of Directors Table Hiring of Head Football Coach for Special Meeting

Although the Ellwood City Area School District’s Board of Directors, according to the agenda posted on the district’s website, was set to vote to hire a new head football coach during Monday’s meeting, a coach was ultimately not hired. The 7 p.m. public meeting was delayed 50 minutes as the board held an executive session for interviews. Monaca, PA – According to Statista projections, the global airline pilot shortage could reach 50,000 by 2025, while the National Air Traffic Controllers Association reports that the FAA is short nearly 4,000 air traffic controllers. All graduating seniors living in the Ellwood City Area School District or the Riverside School District are eligible. THEFT: Gary Weir, 41, of Sharon is charged with Theft after an incident on November 21, 2025. According to a criminal complaint, and at approximately 7:00 p.m., a female victim reported several items of her personal property were stolen from her residence on Wayne Avenue. The victim explain her residence had caught fire and she was staying in a hotel but related that a shed on the property had an older model Kawaski ATV, a bicycle, and other miscellaneous items.
