Ellwood City Italian American Heritage Foundation is proud to announce that our next monthly meeting is Friday July 22, 2022. The meeting will take place at the Ellwood City Area Historical Society located at 310 Fifth Street, Ellwood City, PA 16117. The 3rd beautification award was presented by Mayor Anthony Court to Sean and Crystal Latimer of 406 Persing Street. “Congratulations, your hard work did not go unnoticed,” said Mayor Court in a statement. “Job well done.” They were presented with a yard sign and a gift certificate from a local restaurant. The Riverside Pool Is Open This Summer

According to the Riverside Beaver County School District website, the Riverside Pool is reopening this summer for lap swimming, lessons, family swimming, and more. The schedule is as follows: Daily lap swimming from 7:30 a.m. to noon Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday; Family swimming from 12:30-4 p.m. Monday-Friday; Scheduled pool parties from 12:30-4 p.m. Monday-Friday; Water Zumba from 10-10:45 a.m. on Saturdays. POLICE: Weekly Police Blotter

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: An incident as reported that unknown actors(s) attempted to pry open a secured mailbox from the Ellwood Wampum Rod & Gun Club. The incident was reported to have happened between May 1 and June 14, 2022. During the attempt they did not steal any contents from the mailbox however it was damaged, valued at $200.00. No video surveillance cameras were observed on the exterior of the building. As a result no viable suspects can be identified at this time according to the police report.
