BREAKING & ENTERING: According to a criminal complaint, on October 13th at approximately 5:33 a.m., Ellwood City police were dispatched to a report of an interior burglary alarm at Fraternal Orders of Eagles on Lawrence Avenue. No forced entray was observed but later that day a member of the club told officers that someone broke into the club the prior night. The club member showed police video footage that shows a white male exit the restroom on the second floor of the building at 5:21 a.m., and the individual was later identified as William Donahoe, 63, of Ellwood City. Ellwood City, Franklin Twp Police To Participate In “No Shave November”

Say no to the blade and yes to cancer awareness. This month, both Ellwood City and Franklin Township Police Departments will be participating in ‘No Shave November’, a month-long journey whereby participants ditch razors and forego shaving and grooming facial hair as part of an effort to raise awareness and money to fight cancer. Route 288 Zelienople Road Reopening Thursday in Franklin Township

Pittsburgh, PA – PennDOT District 11 is announcing the reopening of a section of Zelienople Road (Route 288) in Franklin Township, Beaver County, will occur Thursday, November 4 weather permitting. A section of Zelienople Road between Lake Road and Old Furnace Road is expected to reopen to traffic by 5 p.m. Thursday.  The roadway has been closed continuously since July 26 for the Route 288 realignment project sponsored by the Zelienople Airport Authority.  Additionally, Lake Road (Route 1010) will open by 5 p.m. Thursday. Ellwood City Youth Basketball Clinic Planned

A basketball clinic is scheduled this month for Ellwood City boys and girls in grade 3-6. The clinic will be held over two weekends, Saturday, November 6th and Saturday, November 13th, and is garnering some attention according to Girls Varsity Head Coach Dena Noble. “We have over 80 ECASD students signed up to participate,” says Noble. MOTORCYCLE THEFT: According to a criminal complaint, on Tuesday, October 26 at 6:00 p.m. officers were dispatched to Spring Avenue for a motor vehicle theft. The victim advised that someone had stole his 2004 Harley Davidson Sportser 883 motorcycle from out in front of the funeral home. The victim told police he was at the funeral home to mourn the loss of a friend, Andrew Small.
