Childrens Advocacy Center of Lawrence County Lego Party

The Childrens Advocacy Center of Lawrence County is holding a Lego Party on Saturday June 30. The event starts at 10:30 a.m. and ends at 12:30 p.m. at Cascade Park, Upper Level. Those attending will get free pizza, will be entered into a Pittsburgh Pirates ticket raffel and the first 200 kids get to take home a free Sebastian Gator lego set. Each year the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Western PA selects 50 people to represent Pittsburgh while raising awareness through fundraising events  for Cystic Fibrosis. Pittsburgh’s 50 Finest is an accomplished group of 25 men and 25 women who show involvement in the community, dedication to charitable causes and success in their careers. Popular Bluegrass Band Allegheny Drifters Set to Perform at Ellwood City Festival The Allegheny Drifters are a Bluegrass band originating in Western Pennsylvania. The Band is set to perform at the Ellwood City Arts, Crafts, Food and Entertainment Festival on June 30 at 3:30 p.m. In 2002, veteran western Pennsylvania bluegrass mandolinist Bob Artis was invited to put together a one-show-only bluegrass band to perform with the Pittsburgh Mandolin Orchestra at their debut concert to be held in April 2003. ROAR Touch a Truck Event

The Riverside nonprofit organization, ROAR, is hosting a “Touch a Truck” event on July 17 as part of their annual fundraising activities. ROAR is a private, non-profit community initiative, working in cooperation with Riverside Beaver County School District. Riverside Memorial Stadium has no public rest facilities. The athletes, marching band, cheerleaders, students, fans, family members and visiting guests have only a few rented, portable public toilets available. In addition, the athletes do not have a sheltered area to gather before, during or after their games or events. Nickel Plated Revolver to Perform at Ellwood City Festival Nickel Plated Revolver is a cover rock band that originated in Ellwood City around six years ago. There are five members in the band, Chrissy Paglia on Vocals, Todd Swogger on Guitar, Dave Fowler on Vocals and guitar, Steve Confer on Bass and Mark Barnes on Drums. Ellwood City is gearing up for its 37th Annual Ellwood City Arts, Crafts and Food Festival starting on June 29 and running till July 1. There will be no shortage of fun with continuous all-day entertainment, vendors and crafts.
