Ellwood City Halloween Parade October 27

The annual Ellwood City Halloween Parade will march down Lawrence Avenue Saturday, October 27, beginning at 3:30 p.m. The parade will start at the intersection of 4th Street and Lawrence Avenue and end at the intersection of 8th Street and Lawrence Avenue. Staging will take place in the Holy Redeemer School parking lot. Participants are encouraged to arrive by 2:45 and enter the lot at Crescent Avenue and 3rd Street. Parents may drop off their children on Crescent Avenue between 3rd Street and 4th Street. Riverside Graduate Creates His Own Horror Effects

Omega FX is a small business created by John Guerrini. Guerrini is a Riverside grad who attended Seton Hill University to get his degree after high school. He had been hired for a job at an amusement park as a college student during the Halloween season, where he had gotten a job as one of the people in costume that walked around the park and it spark his love for all things horror. Bernstine Invites Veterans to Register for His Nov. 9 Veterans Breakfast

ELLWOOD CITY – In an effort to recognize those in the area who have served our country in the armed forces, Rep. Attorney General’s Office to Speak at Riverside on Social Media

On Wednesday, October 17th, as part of a Riverside School District Parent Outreach Night, the Attorney General’s Office will speak as part of a free seminar regarding parents, children, and social media. Riverside Annual Haunted Hayride & Maze Scheduled

The Riverside annual Haunted Hayride, sponsored by Riverside Outdoor Athletic Renovation (ROAR) starts with a preview night on Thursday October 11th from 7:30-9:30p.m. The Haunted Hayride is one of several fundraisers conducted by ROAR throughout the year. Nearly 200 volunteers come together to create a fun event for the community, and over 1100 people enjoyed the experience. This year, Roar has had the assistance of a Riverside alumni, John Guerrini. Beaver County Chemical Recycling Event Planned

On Saturday, October 13, Bradys Run Park Recycling Center will have common household chemical recycling. Recycling will go on from 9:00 a.m to 1:00 p.m. There will be a cash only fee of $3.00 per gallon, a few exceptions apply. The list of acceptable items include: aerosol cans, batteries, camp fuel/small propane bottles, chemistry sets, compact fluorescent bulbs (CFLs), gasoline, kerosene, mercury, paint products, photo chemicals, pool chemicals, motor oil, transmission fluid, antifreeze, and brake fluid.
