Aaron Bernstine (R-Beaver/Butler/Lawrence) to unveil the Parity in Interscholastic Athletics Act, legislation to create separate brackets for high school sports playoffs. Beginning on June 5, Beaver County residents will be able to drop off their glass items at Brady’s Run Park Recycling Center every Wednesday. The collection will be from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. The Through Beaver County’s Lens: Glass to Glass program will be collecting eyeglasses, sunglasses, and reading glasses that will be used for reuse. Products collected will be then shared with local doctors or will be sent aboard through Mission Vision for use in developing countries. Ellwood City Library has a stellar variety of Summer Programs for 2019! Book Bunch starts in June for kids having completed third grade. Each child receives a free book each month that he or she attends, is treated to pizza for lunch, and fun activities based on the book. Parents need to sign up third graders to attend Book Bunch now. The first books have arrived at the library for pick up. Fourth and Fifth graders can attend Bookworms and receive all the same benefits. It’s a great way to improve reading skills this summer!
