Mayor Court To Speak At V-E Day Ceremony

Mayor Anthony Court will be the guest speaker at a Wreath-laying Ceremony in honor of the 76th Anniversary of the Allied Victory in Europe (V-E Day) to be held at the World War Two monument in front of the Ellwood City Municipal Building on Saturday, May 8 at 10:00 a.m. After Mayor Court’s address, the wreath laying will be done by the Ellwood City American Legion J. Wilbur Randolph Post 157 followed by a Rifle Salute and the playing of Taps by the Beaver-Lawrence County Veterans Honor Guard. The Public is invited to attend the ceremony. Last year, Mayor Court…

The Library has partnered with Seneca Library District, Oil Creek Library District, Erie County Public Library and Crawford County Federated Library System for e-books. Cambridge Retirement Living Announces Upcoming Events

Cambridge Retirement Living has announced two upcoming events within the community. On Wednesday May 5th, Cinco de Mayo will be celebrated at Cambridge Pointe from 11:00 a.m until 1:00 p.m. B’s Sip of Summer Food Truck will be on site to provide food and prizes will also be made available as well. Ellwood City To Hold Annual National Day of Prayer

Ellwood City will be holding its Annual National Day of Prayer on Thursday, May 6th at the Ellwood City Community Plaza. Portersville Christian School Announces Spring Musical

Portersville Christian School has announced its spring musical. The school will be performing the classic musical You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown later this month. Show dates are Friday, April 30th and Saturday, May 1st 7:00 p.m. Due to pandemic restrictions, seating is limited only to families, but the school is offering a virtual showing both evenings. Two Area Clean-Up Days Announced

Both Brush Creek Park and River Road have scheduled Clean-Up Days in the month of April. Brush Creek has scheduled their Clean-Up Day for Thursday, April 22nd from Noon until Dusk. Volunteers are needed for this event to help out the community.  Take pride in your community and help clean up by picking up garbage, sticks, and brush. Bring a team, ask friends and co-workers. Lawrence County Earth Day Ewing Park Clean-Up Scheduled

Lawrence County Earth Day is happy to announce that Boy Scout Troop 806 and the Rotary Club of Ellwood City will be sponsoring/leading a clean-up in Ewing Park on Saturday, April 17th. Those who want to lend a hand should meet at Shelter #8 at 9:30 a.m. and bring a trash bag and gloves. Please follow social distancing guidelines. 2021 Ellwood City Festival Postponed

According to its social media post Tuesday evening, the Ellwood City Arts, Crafts, Foods, and Entertainment Festival Committee has cancelled its 2021 event. This postponement marks a second consecutive year the festival has been canceled due to coronavirus safety concerns.
