Heritage Valley Offering Drive-Thru Flu Shots At Former EC Hospital

To better serve the community during the COVID-19 outbreak, Heritage Valley Health System is offering scheduled drive-through flu shots at several area locations, including the former Ellwood City Hospital. Drive-through flu shots will only be available for patients who have a scheduled flu shot appointment through the Heritage Valley website, HVHS App or the Flu Shot Scheduling Line at 724.773.4285. Flu shots are available for those age 12 and older. For clinical and safety reasons, we recommend that anyone who has not had a flu shot previously receive his/her vaccine at a ConvenientCare location or HVHS physician office. Please be…

Trucks of the Hollow hosting ‘Truck or Treat’

WUMC Offering “Soup Quarts-to-Go”

The monthly Soup Suppers at Wurtemburg United Methodist Church have been modified to ensure the safety of our Customers and Volunteers. Starting Saturday, October 10th, soup will be sold in quart jars; using the Drive-Thru method. We plan to continue serving our soup in this manner; until it is safe to resume serving sit-down inside.  The church is located at 1244 Portersville Rd, Ellwood City, PA 16117. Wampum Announces Cancellation of Christmas Parade

In a post on social media Sunday, the Wampum Area Christmas Parade Committee (WACP) announced the cancellation of their annual Christmas Parade. “After much consideration. The Wampum Area Christmas Parade Committee regrets that we made the very difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Christmas Parade.” The message was announced by Donna Kuiken, long-standing WACP President. “No one is more disappointed than we are to cancel this event. 2020 Beaver County Hazardous Waste Collection Date Announced

Safely dispose of common household chemicals and take advantage of the Beaver County Hazardous Waste Collection event that is scheduled for Saturday, October 10, 2020. The collection will take place at the Bradys Run Park Recycling Center from 9:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. A new fee structure will be in place – $20.00 and covers disposal of up to 10 gallons/50 pounds of the accepted materials. Oversize loads will be subject to additional charges.
