Ellwood City Library Activities For Week of September 13

The Ellwood City Area Public Library offers a variety of weekly activities.  Information is available by calling the library at 724-758-6458.

PLEASE NOTE

The Library has partnered with Seneca Library District, Oil Creek Library District, Erie County Public Library and Crawford County Federated Library System for e-books. You can now use the Overdrive or Libby App. to borrow books from the above Libraries. Please call the library with any questions.

WE’RE OPEN!

The Library is open. Anything printed or copied must be paid for with exact change or check. Newspapers, magazines and toys will not be available for the time being. Masks are required to be worn, covering mouth and nose, while in the building for the entire visit. We will continue doing curbside pick-up. Please call us with the book(s), authors, genre or recommended material you would like to check out and our staff will see that it is in alphabetical order in the lobby for you. We are still doing our returns in specially marked containers in our lobby. Please do not put any donated books in these bins. 724-758-6458 is the number to call with requests.

Hours are Tuesday 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Wednesday 10:00 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. Thursday 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Friday 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and Saturday 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Please remember no one is available to take your calls unless it is in the hours listed above.



Activities taking place this week include.

MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 13

  •  6:30 p.m. – “Classics Book Group,” will be discussing the book “Peyton Place” by Grace Metalious on Zoom.

TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 14

  •  7:00 p.m. – “Twenty-Something Book Group,” will be discussing the book “Jane Unlimited” by Kristin Cashore on Zoom.

THUSDAY, SEPTEMBER 16,

  •  4:00 p.m. – “Hooked on Books Book Group,” will be discussing the book “Knights of the Borrowed Dark” by Dave Rudden on Zoom.

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 18

  • 4:00-7:45- “Story Telling Festival,” is in Ewing Park at the stage. This is the 20th year of this event. There will be a full fire show by Sirkus Dayz starting at 6:45. There will be an ice cream truck with pre-wrapped treats at the event, but there will not be any other food or drinks for sale. You are welcome to bring your own food and drink. Following CDC guidelines those who are not vaccinated are asked to wear a mask.

  1. I was a resident for most of my life. I now live in Franklin PA and am happy to know that the EC library has expanded their scope of knowledge to surrounding counties
