3 Rivers Comicon Returns For Another Outdoor Experience

3 Rivers Comicon returns to the Pittsburgh area to bring comics, toys, and other nerdy things to fans October 16-17, 2021 at the Waterfront in an outdoor event.

Due to the success of their Spring 3 Rivers Comicon LITE event held last May and ongoing pandemic issues the convention, which normally takes place inside, will have all their vendors and guests under tents in the overflow lot between the First Commonwealth Bank and Steak ‘n Shake, near the New Dimension Comics Waterfront location.

The convention is free to the public starting at 12 noon each day with a $5 early bird shopper option from 10:00 a.m – 12:00 p.m. each day. Vendors and guests include a variety of comic book dealers, toy vendors, cosplay groups, nerd crafters, authors, artists, and more. Also featured for this event are craft breweries from all over western PA. Yearly, 3 Rivers Comicon partners with a craft brewery for a convention exclusive beer featuring comic book art. This year, not only will they premier Mr. Monster Bad Brain Stout (Shubrew), with special guest Michael T. Gilbert who created Mr. Monster, but will have all the past beers for sale from the breweries that created them. Featured breweries are Shubrew, Helltown, and Croaks Brewing.

About 3 Rivers Comicon LITE: – 3 Rivers Comicon was founded in 2015 by the team at New Dimension Comics, a chain of comic book stores in the Pittsburgh, PA Area that has been in business for over 35 years. The convention was founded with the idea of putting “comics back into comicon” after seeing many conventions use comic in their name but having a lack of comic book presence at their shows.
