Modified Tax Office Hours This Week Announced

According to information made available this morning, special hours this week have been announced by the tax office. The Ellwood City Borough Tax Collector office will be open Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. The office of Tax Collector Mary Ann Portugallo is located in the Ellwood City Municipal Building on Lawrence Avenue. Information regarding residential, property, real estate, or other tax information can be collected at the tax office. Ellwood City Announces Utility Account Budget Plan

According to a press release made available by the Borough of Ellwood City, the Borough Council adopted Resolution #2004-4 approving a budget plan for utility accounts. Under the plan customers may complete an application form provided by the Borough during the annual open enrollment period lasting from the third Monday in March (March 19) through the third Friday in April (April 20). The first budget-billing amount will appear on the May utility bill. The maximum budget periods will be twelve (12) months with all balances due to be settled in the 12th month. Riverside’s Kralic Ties WPIAL Record, Takes 1st Place in 100-yard Butterfly

Riverside senior Dean Kralic tied a WPIAL record Thursday at the Class 2A Swimming Championships at the University of Pittsburgh.  In doing so, Kralic took first place in the 100-yard  butterfly in Class-AA. Kralic won the event with a time of 50.29 seconds and joined several Riverside teammates who placed and advanced to PIAA Championships.  Panthers Josiah Shaffer, Dylan Griffith and Donnie Paracca each placed second in the 200 medley relay. Residents Warned Of Another Phone Scam

According to information made available by the Ellwood City Police Department on Thursday, residents in the Ellwood City area have been receiving calls from an individuals with foreign accent, claiming they’re MICROSOFT Security and the resident(s) computer is malfunctioning. The caller goes on to make reference to Windows, Excel and other Microsoft products. The call back number provided is (877) 930-8384. This one of the many scams attempted by telephone, police encourage residents to hang up on the caller, and always remember Microsoft will not contact you concerning your computer. Ellwood Student Among Students To Receive Shell Chemical Awards Scholarship

Monaca, PA – Following the historic announcement of Shell Chemical Appalachia LLC’S $1 million investment to expand and name Community College of Beaver County’s (CCBC’s) Process Technology facilities, 13 students, including Ellwood City’s Earl Sanders, were named recipients of the 2018 Shell Two-Year Associate in Technology Scholarship. The 10th Annual Club Hope Talent Show and 10 Year Anniversary Celebration held last on Saturday, February 24th turned out to be an overwhelming success! Riverside Swimming To Compete In WPIAL Finals

The Riverside boys will swim at the WPIAL Swimming Championship to be held at the University of Pittsburgh Trees Pool on Thursday, March 1, 2018 & Friday, March 2, 2018. Last week the Riverside boys team placed 3rd at MAC Championships against AAA schools. In the WPIAL Championships, the medley relay is seeded 2nd, the 200 Free is seeded 4th, and the 400 Free relays is seeded 5th. Each swimmer will also participate in individual events. Riverside “Shrek – The Musical” Q&A with Lead Cast
