According to a release made available by the borough, Ellwood City will be closing some of its parks and recreational facility effective immediately. Borough Officials Address Coronavirus

With 96 confirmed cases of Coronavirus in the state of Pennsylvania as of March17, 2020—one announced in Beaver County—Ellwood City residents were taking to Facebook to suggest use of the Ellwood City Medical Center (ECMC) as an option for treatment and testing. Borough Announces Free Parking Thru April 1

In a press release made available this afternoon, the Borough of Ellwood City has announced free parking in designated metered areas amid the state issued two week shut down of non-essential business. Free parking is designated at all currently metered spaces located on Lawrence Avenue, Bell Avenue, Crescent Avenue, 5th Street, 6th Street, 7th Street, and the Beaver Avenue parking lot for a maximum of two (2) hours from now through April 1, 2020.
