Borough of Ellwood City Declares A State of Emergency

The Borough of Ellwood City has declared a State of Emergency amid the COVID-19 global pandemic.  The announcement was made per a press release made available by the Borough and Mayor Anthony Court Friday morning.

The declaration is effective at 12:01 am on Saturday, March 21, 2020.

In a statement Mayor Court states:

I believe this current situation will test all of us in many ways. Each individual will see some sort of change in their life. Change can be scary, but I believe we will come out of this strong than ever.

This Proclamation puts us in the position to request financial aid from Federal and State entities and better serve this community in times of crisis.

In short, we will face many challenges. I am hoping we can overcome this challenge by staying strong and being positive.

Anthony J. Court
Ellwood City Mayor
