The Riverside Panthers softball team will be welcomed with an onslaught of younger, talented players this year according to head coach Gerilynn Cummings. LHS Class of ’57 Announces Second Scholarship Opportunity

A second scholarship, worth $2,000, will be offered this year, in addition to the $5,000 scholarship and $500 essay award given by the 1957 Lincoln High School graduating class. The $2,000 award is designated for a 2021 Lincoln High School graduate who will continue his or her education for two years or less at a trade school, community college, nursing or cosmetology program or similar school. Ellwood City Man Dies In 2-Vehicle Crash In West Deer Township

An Ellwood City man died in a two-vehicle crash in West Deer on Monday morning. The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the man on Tuesday as Mark Tedrow, 35. The crash happened shortly after 10 a.m. in the 300 block of Deer Creek Valley Road. According to West Deer police Chief Jon Lape, Tedrow was driving a box truck south on Deer Creek Valley Road when just south of Tarentum-Culmerville Road he veered off the road for about 50 feet. Area School Districts Slated To Receive Nearly $40 Million To Keep Students Learning During Pandemic
