The Ellwood City Area Public Library Offers a variety of weekly activities. Information is available by calling the library at 724-758-6458. NOTE OPEN The Library will be open by appointment only. Call the library to set-up an appointment to browse for books or use a computer. Anything printed must be paid for with exact change or check. We will not be making copies at this time. Falk Homers, Powers Riverside Over Rival Ellwood City

Aaron Falk powered the Riverside Panthers to a 6-2 victory over Ellwood City Friday afternoon. Falk drove in runs with a single in the first, a double in the second, and a home run in the fifth inning. The Panthers jumped out to an early when Evan Burry collected a run scoring double in the first inning. Riverside staked claim to a 3-0 lead after the first frame and never looked back. Ellwood City School Board To Hold After-Prom Meeting

The Ellwood City Area School Board of Directors will hold a Special Meeting of the Board on Friday, April 23, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. for the After-Prom Activities and any other general business purposes that may come before the Board. Accord to the public meeting notice made available this week, the meeting will be conducted vitually and a meeting link will be posted on the school district website on Friday. POLICE: Weekly Police Blotter

THEFT/CRIME BY DECEPTION: Ryan Hayes, 24, Sharon, is charged with Theft and Crime By Deception after an incident on March 25th in Wayne Township. According to a PA State Police report, a 43-year-old victim, of Ellwood City, reported a theft by Hayes whereas the victim sent Hayes $500.00 for a shed deposit and was going to give the rest of the money when picking up the shed. The victim related Hayes agreed and then stopped answering the victim once he received the deposit money. Hayes later refused to return the money to the victim or proceed with the sale. PUBLIC…


Portersville Christian School Announces Spring Musical

Portersville Christian School has announced its spring musical. The school will be performing the classic musical You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown later this month. Show dates are Friday, April 30th and Saturday, May 1st 7:00 p.m. Due to pandemic restrictions, seating is limited only to families, but the school is offering a virtual showing both evenings. Mayor Court Announces 2021 Beautification Award Program

Get ready, let’s bring our community back to life! It’s that wonderful time of the year again and Mayor Anthony J. Court is starting his “Beautification Award Program”. Riverside Lions Thanks Community For Hygiene Helpers Project Success

It’s the last haul until the fall. The Riverside Lions would like to thank the Franklin Township Giant Eagle and Dollar General stores for helping supply hygiene products for those in need. BC3 Plans Outdoor, Walk-Thru Mini Ceremonies For Class Of 2021 Commencement

Butler County Community College’s 53rd annual commencement May 19 will feature a series of outdoor, walk-thru mini-ceremonies for successive groups of graduates. The mini-ceremonies will be held on BC3’s main campus in Butler Township. The first of the approximately 45-minute-long mini-ceremonies begins at 1 p.m. and the last, tentatively at 6:15 p.m. Graduates who register for commencement by April 30 will be notified by email about their designated arrival time. Bernstine Appointed to the Subcommittee on Small Business
