Wolverines To Host Brookville In PIAA Quarterfinals

The Ellwood City boys basketball team, fresh off their first ever WPIAL Championship, will now turn their focus to the PIAA Playoffs that begin this weekend. Ellwood City School Board Finance Committee Meeting Scheduled

In a public meeting nocie announcement, the Ellwood City Area School Board of Directors has scheduled a Finance Committee Meeting. The meeting is scheduled to take place on Thursday, April 8, 2021 starting at 6:00 p.m. The combined Committee and Regular Board meeting will follow as previously scheduled. REMINDER: Ellwood City Area Historical Society Scholarship

Attention Lincoln and Riverside High School Seniors: The annual Ellwood City Area Historical Society Scholarship submission is quickly approaching. In hand deadline is Thursday April 8, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. The Ellwood City Area Historical Society will award two $1500.00 scholarships to two (2) graduating seniors. Graduating seniors from Lincoln High School and Riverside High School who have been accepted to attend a college, Trade School or Performing Arts are eligible. Petrak Shines As Ohio State University Swimming Repeats As Big Ten Champs

Former Lincoln High School graduate Taylor Petrak helped propel the Ohio State Buckeyes to a successful repeat of its Big Ten Swimming and Diving Championship crown last month. Petrak, a Ohio State University senior, is now one of 12 Buckeye women’s swimmers that have descended upon the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, N.C., to compete at the 2021 NCAA Championships this weekend. Riverside Turns Focus to PIAA Swimming Championships

The Riverside swimming team will compete the in the PIAA Swimming Championships Friday afternoon at Cumberland Valley High School in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. For the Panthers team, winners of a pair of golds in the 200 and 400 meter free relays at the WPIAL Swimming Championships, they will look to showcase its relay team in three PIAA relay events and display some individual talent with the Roth brothers each swimming in individual events. Ellwood City Wrestling Holding A Raffle Fundraiser

Even though the high school wresting season has ended, the Ellwood City Wrestling Booster Club is working to continue to raise funds for their team. With many prior fundraising activities cancelled due to COVID-19, the club will be holding a fundraising raffle to support junior high and varsity wrestling. The winner will receive a $500.00 gift certificate to Milk House Meats. The raffle is $10.00 per tip donation and can be purchased online.  The raffle closes once all tickets have been sold.
