Frank was born in Pittsburgh on October 3, 1945 to the late Nicholas and Catherine Krivoniak Spirk. He married the former Hazel Hedglin who survives at home. They were married 31 years. She was born in New Castle on July 2 1930 to the late Russell and Ella Thompson Kemp. Dawna graduated from Lincoln High School in Ellwood City, in the class of 1948.
