Frank R. Spirk, Sr., 71, of North Beaver Street, New Castle, passed away at his residence the morning of November 5, 2016. Frank was born in Pittsburgh on October 3, 1945 to the late Nicholas and Catherine Krivoniak Spirk. He married the former Hazel Hedglin who survives at home. They were married 31 years. Frank worked in maintenance at the former St. Francis Hospital for 30 years. He was a devoted and active member of the Maitland Lane Free Methodist Church. Nye Brown, 88, of the Carriage Court, Ellwood Road, New Castle, formerly of Glen Avenue, Ellwood City, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 19 2016 at Golden Hill Nursing Home, New Castle. She was born in North Sewickley,  Beaver County, on January 19 1928 to the late Joseph “Bert”  Nye and the late Florence Lena Weil Nye.
