Robert E. Campbell, 85 of Harmony-Fisher Ave., Ellwood City passed away at his residence on Saturday, December 23, 2017 at 5:35 PM. Born in Ellwood City on February 16, 1932 Robert was the son of the late Erwin and Delilah Newton Campbell.  He is survived by his wife, the former Sara McLaughlin whom he married on May 17, 1952. Louis Tammaro, Sr., 81, of Franklin Township, passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2017 at Trinity Oaks. Born in Ellwood City on August 24, 1936, Lou was the son of the late Carlo and Mary Sheldone Tammaro.  Lou married the former Kathleen McCarthy on September 30, 1977 and she preceded him in death on September 18, 2017.  Lou was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps, serving during the Korean War.  A member of Holy Redeemer Parish, Lou worked at Rockwell Standard in New Castle and then as a salesman at McElwain Motors in Ellwood City.  He was also…

James V. Capone, 94, of Ellport, passed away on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at Heritage Valley Beaver. Born in Ellwood City on January 25, 1923, James was the son of the late Mike and Lucy Abrunzo Capone.  James met his wife, the former Joyce Pantling, in Europe while he was serving in the Army during WWII.  They were married on July 14, 1945 and she preceded him in death on July 8, 2007, a week shy of their 62nd anniversary.  He retired as a straightening operator in the hot finish from the Beaver Falls plant of B&W in 1985 after…

David A. Quintanilla, 66, of Ellwood City, passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at Good Samaritan Hospice in Wexford. Born on October 23, 1951, David graduated from Lincoln High School and Lawrence County VoTech in 1970 where he studied restaurant trades.  He served his chef apprenticeship at the Duquesne Club in Pittsburgh.  He owned his own business, Chef DAQ in Ellwood City.  In 2003, David earned his bachelor’s degree from Penn State in Human Development and Family Studies.  David always had a smile and an encouraging word.  He will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved him….

Lawrence Pasquale, 91 of Townwood Rd., North Sewickley Township passed away at the Ellwood City Medical Center on Monday, November 13, 2017. Born in Ellwood City on June 9, 1926 Lawrence was the son on the late Guiseppe and Maria Purinna Pasquale.  He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Theressa Piacesi on April 1, 1983.  Lawrence retired from the Ellwood Works of US Steel where he worked in the foundry.  After US Steel closed he worked at the B&W.  Lawrence also helped construct both the Zelienople Community Mausoleum and the Slippery Rock Cemetery Mausoleum.  He was a…

Betty Anne Rassman, 83, of Perry Township, passed away at her residence on Thursday, November 2, 2017. Born in Pittsburgh on October 11, 1934 Betty was the daughter of the late George F. and Emma A. Michael Douglas Partridge, 42, of East Pittsburgh, formerly of Ellwood City, passed away in his residence on Monday, October 30, 2017. Born in Ellwood City, Michael was the son of Brad and Barbara Stone Partridge.  A 1993 graduate of Lawrence County Vo-Tech, Michael was a member of the Boy Scouts in his youth.  He loved to draw, and he was a musician who could play just about any instrument he picked up.  He liked tie-dye and Michael was able to teach sign language to others. Verna Zukowski, 96, of Ellwood City, passed away on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at Jameson Care Center in Neshannock Township. Born in Chewton on April 14, 1921, Verna was the daughter of the late Michael and Karoline Krrystinski Stabryla.  Her husband, Raymond J. Zukowski preceded her in death on May 16, 1995.  Verna worked at American Bridge during WWII.  She was a member of Holy Redeemer Parish and its Christian Mothers.  Verna enjoyed spending time with her family.
