William “Bill” Cox, 75

William “Bill” Cox, 75, of Ellwood City, passed away on Friday, February 2, 2018 at Good Samaritan Hospice in Brighton Township. Born in Beaver Falls on June 27, 1942, Bill was the son of the late Everett and Martha Schwartz Cox.  After Bill retired from B&W, he worked for several years at Camp Kon-O-Kwee.  Bill served in the Pennsylvania National Guard.  He loved riding and restoring vintage motorcycles and he also loved his black lab, Cole.  A lifetime member of the NRA, Bill was an avid hunter and fisherman.  He was also a member of Ducks Unlimited and Castlewood Rod…

John Robert Gavrile, 65 of Ellwood City passed away at Allegheny General Hospital on Wednesday, January 31, 2018. Harold L. Laderer II, 60, of Worth Township, a much loved husband, father, grandpa, son, brother and uncle, passed away on Monday, January 22, 2018 at VNA Hospice. Raymond Michael Bettoni, 60, of Mesa, Arizona, formerly of Ellwood City, passed away on October 19, 2017, ending his courageous battle with cancer. Born in Ellwood City on April 22, 1957, Raymond was the son of the late Raymond and Rose Delorenzo Bettoni.  He graduated from Riverside High School in 1975 and enlisted in the United States Navy the following year.  He served on the USS Tarawa during Desert Storm.  Raymond retired from the Navy in 2000 as a Petty Officer 1st Class.  He then worked as a computer analyst for CVS until he retired in March of 2017. James V. Capone, 94, of Ellport, passed away on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at Heritage Valley Beaver.
