Agnes S. Bender, 102, formerly of Ellwood City, passed away in her residence in Manchester, NH on Thursday, September 22, 2016. Born in Ellwood City on February 19, 1914, Agnes was the daughter of the late Andrew and Esther Simon Swartz. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1933 and married Frederick W. Bender on August 7, 1937. Agnes worked as a clerk at Miller’s Gift Shop on Lawrence Avenue. The oldest living member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Agnes was also a member of the Ellwood City Hospital Auxiliary and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Saxon Club. She loved gardening,…

Sano, 61, of Ellwood City passed away on Monday, August 22, 2016 in UPMC North Hills, surrounded by her family and friends after a two year battle with cancer.   Born in Ellwood City on June 3, 1955, Barb was the daughter of the late Victor and Antoinette Pasquale Pogozelec.  She married Larry J. Patricia R. Owens, 83 of Northview Estates passed away at her residence on Monday, August 22, 2016 at 11:23 PM. Pat was born on July 14, 1933 to the late Loyal and Ruth Romack. She married Sherwood Schlemmer in 1951 who passed away in 1957. She later married Francis Owens in 1964 who passed away in 1990. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Sue Ellen Owens in 1975. Born in Rochester, Pennsylvania on May 28, 1926, Marjorie was the daughter of the late Russell and Helen McCleary Winters. Marjorie was preceded in death by her first husband, Walter L.
