William J. Myers, 69, of Ellport passed away at his residence, surrounded by his wife and family, on Tuesday, July 16, 2024. Joseph “Butch” P. Sheeler, 82 of Ellport passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at the Butler VA Medical Center. David Gregg Metheny, age 78, of Beaver Falls, passed away July 5, 2024. Gregg was born April 10, 1946 to the late David B. and Edith (Baker) Metheny. A lifelong resident of Beaver County, he was a 1964 graduate of Beaver Falls High School and attended Western State College, Gunnison, CO on a basketball scholarship. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force (1966-1970) and served in Thailand during the Vietnam Conflict. Richard Strohecker, 78, of Ellwood City, passed away on Sunday, June 30, 2024 at UPMC Jameson. Born in Ellwood City on October 3, 1945, Richard was the son of the late Clark and Irvina Wright Strohecker. Richard owned and operated Strohecker Sealcoating and Paving. He previously worked at B&W Steel and also drove truck. Richard is survived by his wife, the former Marylu Harper, who he married on July 1, 1995. Tad Biddle Myers passed away on June 13, 2024, in his apartment, with his beloved black cat, Lucy, by his side. Tad was born on October 30, 1942, in Steubenville, Ohio. His parents were Joseph and Virginia Myers. His precious Daddy, Roger B. Goodwin, passed away when Tad was a little boy. Cheryl A. (Burcik) Thomas, 69, of Ellwood City, passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2024.  Cheryl was a graduate of Riverside High School and the St. Francis School of Nursing. Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Dolores Burcik. Cheryl’s love of nursing over 45 years took her to Pittsburgh, Las Vegas, Tampa, and back to Ellwood City, where she ended her career as a home health nurse. Jerry D. McCaughtry, Sr., 83, of Ellport, passed away in his residence on Monday, May 20, 2024.
