John E. Lample, 79, of Ellwood City, passed away in his residence on Tuesday, January 24, 2023. Mary L. Young, 65, of Ellwood City, passed away in her residence on Tuesday, January 17, 2023. Born in Streetsboro, Ohio on May 4, 1957, Mary was the daughter of the late Felix and Erika Babinski Gronostaj.  She graduated from James Ford Rhodes High School in Cleveland in 1975.  After graduating, Mary started working for State Wholesale and eventually retired from Global Trading as executive assistant to the president.  She married Terry Young in 1991.  Mary was a member of St. John’s Burry’s Church in Rochester.  She loved crafting, reading sci-fi books, playing board games with her family, watching TV…

Robert Edward “Bob” Hines, 85, of Ellwood City passed away peacefully on January 3rd at his son’s home. Bob was born on December 19, 1937, the son of the late Edward John Hines and Helen (Smith) Hines. He graduated from Lincoln High School and served in the U.S. Air Force, then moved to California to work for Matthews Conveyor, where he met and married Sylvia Eleanor Wilson. Richard Foster Moreland, 85, late of Wampum, PA passed away peacefully on, January 4, 2023. Richard was born December 15, 1937 to the late Beatrice Crandell and Foster Corwin Moreland in St. Louis, MO. He was married on January 15, 1966 in Seattle, WA to the love of his life, the late Julia Lee Scott Moreland, who predeceased him in 2009.  Richard was a scholar and a gentleman. Amy D. Boy, 88, formerly of Ellport, passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2022 at the Good Samaritan Hospice Beaver. Born on June 6, 1934 in New Castle, Amy was the daughter of the late John and Margaret Gilbert Contos.  She was preceded in death by her husband, William Boy, who died on September 3, 2018.  They were married on July 27, 1952.  Amy attended Christ Presbyterian Church and was a member of the Ellport Boosters and the Ellwood City Municipal Women’s Club.  Amy enjoyed entertaining and cooking for her friends and family.  She truly loved the time she spent…

Preceding her in death were her parents, Theodore and Dorothea (Thompson) Teets; her daughter, Loretta; her sister and brother-in-law, Myrna and Bill Howman; her sister, Patty (Joe) Woloszyn; and her stepmother, Ruthene Kocher Teets. Charles W. Kennedy, 56, of Ellwood City passed away at his home on December 3, 2022 following a lengthy illness. He was born on April 20, 1966 in Ellwood City and graduated from Lincoln High School.
