ECASD Special Board Meeting Scheduled For Monday

According to a notice provided by the school district, The Ellwood City Area School Board of Directors has scheduled a Special Board meeting on Monday, September 21, 2020 starting at 2:00 p.m. The meeting is scheduled for the purpose of amending the Health and Safety Plan and whatever else may come before the Board. Online Sessions Thru November To Benefit BC3, Guest Students

(Butler, PA) Three additional start dates through November will provide Butler County Community College students the opportunity to add credits in as few as five weeks through fully online classes, a BC3 administrator said, and guest students a chance to save at least $230 for a three-credit course. Golf Recap: EC Boys Defeat Rival Riverside, EC Girls Fall to Seneca Valley

The Ellwood City boys golfers defeated rival Riverside 203-249 on Tuesday at Del Mar Golf Course with Milo Sesti recording a 1-under par round of 35 for the victors. For the boys, Dan Ditri (41), Geoffrey Boker (42), Joey Hudson (43), and Daniel Rogers (43) joined Sesti on the scorecard.  Logan Greer finished with a team low round of 37 for Riverside in defeat. POLICE: Ellwood City Man Dies From Crash Injuries

According to a PA State Police report, a 79-year-old man from Ellwood City died in a one vehicle crash that took place Sunday afternoon between Wampum and Ellwood City. While traveling east on Wampum Road, a Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck driven by Glenn Freed, 79, of Ellwood City, lost control for unknown reasons and impacted a utility pole, approximately 10 feet of the right south shoulder on the road. Ellwood City Hungarian Home gives $750 scholarships to graduates of Lincoln, Riverside

(Ellwood City) Levi Smith and Kathryn Coyne, graduates of Lincoln and Riverside high schools, respectively, have been selected to receive $750 scholarships from the Ellwood City Hungarian Home. Smith, a son of Joanne Smith of Harmony, plans to attend Drexel University in Philadelphia this fall and major in accounting. Coyne, a daughter of Robert and Margaret Coyne of Beaver Falls, also plans to attend Drexel University and major in product design. Local Water/Sewer Projects Receive $3 Million in State Funding
