Registration Open For Dayspring Ministries Holiday Arts & Crafts Fair

Come out to enjoy, showcase, and shop at a Holiday Arts & Crafts Fair to be held at Dayspring Ministries next month. The fair is scheduled to take place Saturday, November 5th from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  Dayspring Ministries is located at 316 5th Street, Ellwood City, PA Costs for vendors is $10.00 for a table.  An 8-foot table can be shared among vendors. NOTICE: Political Signs NOT Allowed Without Registration

According to a press release made available by the Borough of Ellwood City, no candidate for political office, whether local, county, state or federal, shall post any political signs on Borough property without registering at the Ellwood City Municipal Building, 525 Lawrence Avenue, Ellwood City, PA 16117. This registration procedure involves a $50 deposit, which will be returned if the following regulations are complied with: no sign shall be placed prior to four (4) weeks before the date of election and must be removed within five (5) days after the election. Lincoln High School Class of 1957 Set To Meet October 19

The 1957 Class of Lincoln High School will meet for lunch on Wednesday, October 19th, at Vinny’s Restaurant on Beaver Avenue in Ellwood City. Reservations are due by Monday, October 10th, and can be made by a phone call or text to Nancy Pietrandrea at 724-622-5992. Members and guests will meet at noon, eat around 1:00 p.m. and leave by 4:00 p.m. The number of reservations made will determine if lunch orders will be from the regular menu or if there will be a buffet.

HARRISBURG – Legislation sponsored by Rep. Aaron Bernstine (R-Beaver/Butler/Lawrence) that would focus on the parole process for violent offenders was vetoed today by Gov. The Ellwood City Italian American Heritage Foundation (ECIAHF) held its monthly meeting Friday September 23 at Hunter Brother’s Coffee located in the Ole Ellport School. The meeting was opened with A Prayer For A Grateful Heart, and World War II Veteran and Hero Sgt. Guy Prestia led the Pledge of Allegiance. Butler Health System Offering Additional Vaccine Clinics

In its continued battle against COVID-19, Butler Health System will be offering the Novavax COVID-19 vaccine. This protein subunit vaccine is authorized for people 12 years old and up. Its primary series is two doses, 4 weeks apart. Unlike other currently available COVID-19 vaccines, the Novavax shot contains no mRNA or viral particles, only a protein, making it similar to the annual influenza vaccine. The CDC currently recommends that people who get two doses of Novavax should later get a bivalent booster (from Pfizer or Moderna). Beaver County Conservation District Hosting Tire Collection Event

The Beaver County Conservation District’s Mosquito Vector Disease Program is hosting a one-day tire collection at the district office and environmental center October 22, 2022. The collection is open to Beaver County residents and accepting car and light truck tires up to 20” off rim. This event is funded through the DEP West Nile Program.
