Fireworks Fest Plans Set For July 20th In Downtown New Castle

The City of New Castle has partnered with Pyrotecnico and other local businesses to present the 2024 New Castle Fireworks Fest in the city’s downtown on Saturday, July 20, from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. The night includes local food and drink options, food trucks, live music, and will culminate with a spectacular display as New Castle-based Pyrotecnico is set to light up the sky of The Fireworks Capital of America. Lincoln High School Class of 1954 Holds 70th Renuion

The LHS Class of 1954 held their last formal class reunion on Saturday, June 29 at the Slippery Rock Presbyterian Church of Ellwood City. Arrivals were greeted by the committee John Tino, Ilene Gardner and Pudue La Cava. Registration was conducted by the honorary class members, Judy Portugallo and Jackie Perno. La Cava presented each person with a very much needed name tag, especially the seniors. Gardner photographed each classmate and their guest at a Holiday mural made by her son Jeff. Portersville Native Selected As New BC3 Vice President

Dr. Josh Novak, a longtime dean at Butler County Community College who has led student services and resources such as those for academic support, access and disability, food security and mental health, will become the college’s vice president for student affairs and enrollment management July 9. Novak, 39, of Slippery Rock, has served in progressive dean of students roles in BC3’s student affairs and enrollment management division since August 2011, and will succeed Dr. Case Willoughby in the Cabinet-level position. Brown, Bernstine Announce Counties Receiving Funds From Natural Gas Drilling Impact Fees

HARRISBURG – Rep. Marla Brown (R-Lawrence) and Rep. This is 30th Anniversary of the History Center. The Steifel Building was bought in 1994… and became the home of the Ellwood City Area Historical Society. Vogel Announces $1.3 Million in PHARE Funding for Beaver and Lawrence Counties

HARRISBURG – Sen. Ellwood City Public Library Sponsoring A Victorian Tea Event

The Ellwood City Public Library is sponsoring a Victorian Tea on Saturday, June 22nd at Calvin Presbyterian Church The event is scheduled to take place from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the afternoon. Route 65 Culvert Replacement Begins Monday in North Sewickley

PennDOT has announced culvert replacement work requiring a long-term closure of a portion of Route 65 (Mercer Road) in North Sewickley Township, Beaver County will begin Monday, June 10 weather permitting. Culvert replacement work will begin at 8:00 a.m. Monday on Route 65 between Bologne Valley Road and Oakland Drive.
