Ellwood City 15u Softball Team Brings Home 2018 Lawrence County Championship

The team traveled to historic Dean Park in New Castle on Thursday evening to capture the championship hardware.  They started fast as they plated the first 10 runs of the game in the opening 3 innings to cruise home with an 11-5 victory over the Union Scotties. Potter Baseball Tour Stops In Ellwood City

The Potter Baseball Tour made its ninth annual stop in Ellwood City on Friday, July 13. Led by former Ellwood City baseball standout Jeff Potter, the tour visits over 30 cities in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Ohio and Virginia throughout July. The first tour game was played nine years ago on July 2, 2010 at Sanders Field. Since then the tour has become a staple in towns throughout the Middle Atlantic states. Bernstine Looks to Partner with Municipalities to Boost Regional Job Growth

ELLWOOD CITY – In a letter sent Monday to all 23 municipalities in the 10th Legislative District, Rep. Seventh and Final Beautification Award Presented to Valerie Custozzo

Another 2018 Beautification Award Winner has been presented by Mayor Court yesterday to Valerie Custozzo of Jefferson Avenue. Valerie was given a yard sign and a gift certificate to a local restaurant to show appreciation for the beautiful landscaping of her property. Master Gardeners Host 3nd Annual Garden Tour

The Penn State Master Gardeners of Lawrence County are hosting their Third Annual Garden Tour on Sunday, July 22rd from Noon to 5:00 p.m. The tour highlights four area gardens, which can be toured at your own pace. Master Gardeners will be available at each location to answer questions. The tour will consist of four gardens within Lawrence County. Bernstine Launches Parliamentary Attack on Anti-Second Amendment Bills

HARRISBURG – Staunch Second Amendment supporter Rep. Senate Approves Vogel Bill Promoting Telemedicine in Pennsylvania

The Senate today (June 13) approved legislation introduced by Senator Elder Vogel (R-Beaver) aimed at promoting telemedicine in Pennsylvania as a way to overcome barriers to quality patient care created by distance and reduce the costs of those services. Senate Bill 780 specifically defines telemedicine as “the delivery of health care services provided through telecommunications technology to a patient by a healthcare practitioner who is at a different location.” It also establishes guidelines regarding who can provide telemedicine services, and provides clarity regarding insurance company reimbursement for those services. “Telemedicine can help patients get the care they need.
