Richard P. “Dick” Borst, 78, of Chewton passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital following a brief illness. Born November 27, 1941 in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Gale and Cecelia Hasslinger Borst. Dick retired in 2003 from Cemex where he worked in the Maintenance Dept. He was a Veteran of the Air Force. He enjoyed antique cars, going to car shows, and riding motorcycles. He cherished time spent with family especially his grandchildren. Linda L. McLaughlin, 75, of Portersville passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, January 14, 2020 following a short illness. Born December 7, 1944 in Ellwood City, she was the daughter of the late Leland and Anna (Stoops) Brown. Linda graduated from Riverside High School with the Class of 1963. She worked as a waitress for many years at many different restaurants most recently at McDonald’s on 422. Linda was a member of the Hungarian Home in Ellwood City. Olga A. Jenkins, 82, of New Galilee passed away Monday, January 13, 2020 at Avalon Place in New Castle following an extended illness. Born May 27, 1937 in New Galilee, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Giovanna (Borroni) Franchi. Olga formerly worked at Mayer China and Uslenghi Candies in New Galilee. She was a member of the Galilean Presbyterian Church and their fellowship committee. She was also a member of the LMBA in New Galilee and the New Galilee Fire Department Auxiliary. Melvin L. Moser, 83, of Portersville passed away Sunday, January 12, 2020 at Allegheny General Hospital following a two week illness. Born August 21, 1936 in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late Michael and Leila (Smith) Moser. Melvin formerly owned and operated Moser Logging and also worked as a heavy equipment operator.
