Richard P. Borst, 78

Richard P. “Dick” Borst, 78, of Chewton passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital following a brief illness.

Born November 27, 1941 in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Gale and Cecelia Hasslinger Borst.

Dick retired in 2003 from Cemex where he worked in the Maintenance Dept. He was a Veteran of the Air Force. He enjoyed antique cars, going to car shows, and riding motorcycles. He cherished time spent with family especially his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Judy K. Shouse Borst; three daughters, Michelle Borst of New Castle, Trisha Borst-Martino of Ellwood City, Tiffany (Jim) Borst-Emery of Shenango Twp.; two sons, Douglas (Flor) Borst of Las Vegas, Jason (Nicole) Crawford of Ellwood City; and seven grandchildren, Marissa and Amy Martino, Carlee and Chloe Crawford, Cody Borst, and Ava and Mason Emery.

He was preceded in death by a brother, William R. Borst.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday January 26 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home, Wampum. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 11 am with Pastor James R. O’hara officiating. Military rites will be offered by the Veterans Honor Guard. Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery.
