Louise E. Newman, 86, of North Sewickley Township passed away peacefully on Friday, February 2, 2024 at her home. Born September 13, 1937 in Ellwood City, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Ruth Hazen Lersch. Louise graduated from Lincoln High School in 1955, and then off to nursing school at St. Francis in New Castle. During her working career, she worked as a Registered Nurse at Jameson Hospital and Ellwood City Hospital. In addition, Louise was a maternity ward nurse at Mary Evans Hospital. Lana Jo Hudson, 70, of Beaver Falls (formerly of Wampum) passed away Thursday, February 1, 2024 at Beaver Valley Nursing and Rehab Center. Born April 23, 1953 in Ellwood City, she was the daughter of the late Wilfred and Melda Stanford Martin. For many years Lana worked as a nurses aide in Roman Eagle, VA. Rodger Dale Swogger, 85, of New Beaver Borough passed away unexpectedly Thursday, January 25, 2024 at his residence. Born April 16, 1938 in New Castle, he was the son of the late Hubert Lee and Goldie May Snyder Swogger. Rodger spent his working years as a meat cutter and also managed the meat department in grocery stores in the area.
