Born August 25, 1933 in Wampum, she was the daughter of the late George H. and Mary Ryan Johnson. She was married to Lynn N. Guy for 64 years. They were together as a couple for almost 70 years when he passed away in 2016. Helen was a graduate of Wampum High School in 1951.
