Ethel Mae (Koach) Sorcio, 94, of Wampum Avenue, Ellwood City passed away Monday, March 7, 2016 at St. Johns Care Center in Mars following a brief illness. Born Nov. 30, 1921 in Ellwood City, she was the daughter of the late Harold Paul and Ethel Mae Webster Koach. She was married to John J. Sorcio for 20 years who passed away in 1971. Joseph Scala, 79, of Larchwood Drive, New Galilee passed away unexpectedly Monday, Feb. 29, 2016 at UPMC Shadyside Hospital. Born June 11, 1936 in Wampum, he was the son of the late Andrew and Mary Norge Scala. Joe retired from B & W Steel after 19 years of service in the Hot Mill Works in Beaver Falls. Glenda K. Nicklas, 65, of Short St, Ellwood City died Monday, Feb. 22 at the Ellwood City Hospital following a 30 year courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis.
