Ethel Mae (Koach) Sorcio, 94, of Wampum Avenue, Ellwood City passed away Monday, March 7, 2016 at St. Johns Care Center in Mars following a brief illness. Born Nov. 30, 1921 in Ellwood City, she was the daughter of the late Harold Paul and Ethel Mae Webster Koach. She was married to John J. Sorcio for 20 years who passed away in 1971. Ethel retired in 1989 from the United States Postal Service where she was the Data Supervisor in New York. She was a member of the Harmony Baptist Church in Ellwood City. Glenda K. Nicklas, 65, of Short St, Ellwood City died Monday, Feb. 22 at the Ellwood City Hospital following a 30 year courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Born April 25, 1950 in Ellwood City, she was the daughter of the late Curtis Glenn Brown and Elva Vogler Brown of Ellwood City, formerly of Castlewood. Barbara M. Walker, 80, of Longvue Ave. Ellwood City (North Sewickley Twp.) passed away Monday, Feb. 15, 2016 at Cranberry Place following an extended battle with diabetes. Born Sept. 20, 1935 in Youngstown, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late William and Harriet Ellen Wardle Maronde. She was married for 50 years to Dale Walker who survives. Robert “Gizmo” E. Huffman, 75, of Dutch Ridge Road, Ellwood City (Wayne Twp.) passed away Sunday, Feb. 14, 2016 at the Jameson Memorial Hospital following an extended battle with colon cancer. Born Oct. 13, 1940 in Ellport, he was the son of the late Wilbert L. and Martha Stanyard Huffman. He was married for 47 years to Linda Aumiller Huffman who survives. Born Oct. 12, 1956 in Ellwood City, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Martha McKeough Fischer. Cathy was married for 40 years to Stan Bingle who survives. George Walter Martin, 92, of Enon Valley (Little Beaver Twp.) passed away Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2016 at Heritage Valley – Beaver Hospital. A lifelong resident of Little Beaver Twp., George was born June 6, 1923 to the late Alfred A. and Hilda M. Keebler Martin. He was married for 69 years to Leita Raney Martin as they were married Aug. 15, 1946. She survives.
