Penny K. Shirk, 55, of Ellwood City passed away Saturday, Nov. 14, 2015 at the Ellwood City Hospital following a lingering illness. Born July 21, 1960 in Ellwood City, she was the daughter of the late Robert L. Epling and Sandy Wachtel. She was married to Tom Shirk who passed away in 1997. Daniel J. Kegarise, 62, of E. Edison Ave., New Castle died Friday, Nov. 13, 2015 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital following complications arising from an unexpected heart attack. Born May 26, 1953 in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late Ellis and Shirley Wehman Kegarise. He was married to Eleanor Durbin Kegarise who survives. Dan worked for Consolidated Glass Company.
