Riverside Football Tickets on Sale

After Riverside successfully defeated Frazier on Friday night, they are now preparing for the second playoff game this Friday Night against Avonworth. The game will be played at Seneca Valley at 7:30p.m. Tickets will be on sale this Wednesday in the high school athletic office from 7:50a.m.-10-50a.m. Then tickets will be sold in the middle school and elementary lunches from 10:50a.m.-12:30p.m. Finally, tickets will be on sale in the athletic office again from 12:30p.m.- 1:30p.m. Student tickets are $5 and adult tickets are $7. All tickets will be $7 at the gate.


Flood Warnings

Flood warnings have been issued for the following local counties: Beaver County, southern Lawrence County,  southwestern Butler County, and northwestern Allegheny County. According to eye witness reports, parts of Brush Creek Park are flooded. A strong rise is occurring on the Connoquenessing Creek in Zelienople, and the creek may rise out of its banks later this morning.


Ellwood City Moose Christmas Fair

The Ellwood City Moose, 1400 Factory Ave. will be having a Christmas Fair on Sunday December 3rd from 10am – 3pm. This is the first year the Moose is having the event, which will be open to the public and will feature local vendors of all kinds, Christmas crafters, a concession stand, food and bake sale, and a Chinese auction. There will be 18-20 hand crafters, wreathes, hand painted bottles, leather, and others. There will also be consultants like Luluroe, health and beauty, nail art, Tupperware and others. ANNOUNCEMENT: Last Leaf Pick Up

Ellwood City’s last leaf pick up for 2017 will occur the week of November 12. YARD WASTE PICK UP GUIDELINES: Green borough yard waste bins are also available for residents to dispose of their simple yard waste. Yard waste bins are available for purchase for $53.00 and can be purchased at the borough utility office or by calling 724-758-5576. Yard waste bins are collected on specified weeks throughout the calendar years. Dates are also provided on borough utility bills. “Toys for Tots” Collection Spot at Senator Vogel’s Office

State Senator Elder Vogel, Jr.’s office will be collecting toys for the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve “Toys for Tots” program through December 15th. If you would like to participate, please drop off any new, unwrapped toys at the Senator’s office at 488 Adams Street in Rochester. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Carnegie Free Library Fall Fundraiser

The Carnegie Free Library of Beaver Falls is hosting A Novel Event, featuring local authors’ books for sale and signing. The date of the event is Saturday, Nov. 18 – the same day as the Beaver Falls Business Open House. “What makes this doubly exciting is that the Beaver Falls Businesses are having an Open House on the same day,” Jean Barsotti, MSLS, Director stated. REC Wrestling Registration

The grade 1-6 boys and girls REC Wrestling registrations dates are coming up fast. Registration will be on Mondaym November 6th, Wednesday, November 8th, and Monday, November 13th.  The registration will take place in Lincoln High School.
