Main Street Bar And Grill Set To Reopen

According to its owner, Main Street Bar and Grill is re-opening immediately. The local bar and eatery has been closed these past four and a half weeks due to a discrepancy with the liquor licence renew process, according to owner Greg Ottaviani. “We just want people to know that we are open,” said Ottaviani. Main Street Bar and Grill will reopen with new hours, however. POLICE: Local Home Invasion, Conterfeit Bills, Drug Charges

Local Home Broken Into According to the Ellwood City Police, a resident on Hazel Avenue reported that their house had been broken into on Monday, November 5. The victim said that they had just arrived home from the hospital when they discovered that the glass of the front interior door of their house had been shattered. It was then found the intruder reached inside and unlocked the door, and making their way inside and stole seven Xanax  pills from their prescribed bottle. Stiefel Hockey Fall Session Wrapup: Darkness, The Alchemists Take Titles

Two local roller hockey teams collected recent championships in the Stiefel Hockey Fall League.  The A League champions were Darkness, who had bested Rage 5-1 in the finale, while The Alchemists claimed a repeat championship in the B League. Darkness finished the fall season with a 7-1 regular season record and the team led the A League in goal differential. Jake Hopper led Darkness with 23 points (15 goals, 8 assists) during the fall session regular season. Riverside Varsity Softball Team To Host Pancake Breakfast

Riverside’s Varsity Softball team will be hosting a pancake breakfast at Lillyville Church of God on Saturday, November 17 from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. There will be raffle tickets you can buy to enter to win either a Steelers Basket or a Panther Basket, as well as a topping bar to go with your pancakes. This evening Ellwood City residents will finally have their chance to ask their looming questions about the recent happenings and what the future entails for the Ellwood City Medical Center as a Town Hall Meeting has been scheduled. Relay For Life Event Leadership Meeting Scheduled

Everyone is welcome to join the Relay For Life as they meet next week to continue planning their 2019 American Cancer Society Relay For Life event. The committee will meet Tuesday, November 13th at the Ellwood City Moose Lodge beginning at 6:00pm. The Moose Lodge is located at 1400 Factory Avenue in Ellwood City.  The meeting is scheduled to run for one hour.
