Franklin Township Announces 2024 Clean Up Day

Clean up your yard, clean up your home, and clean up your garage! Franklin Township residents are invited to participate in a township clean-up day planned for Saturday, May 4, 2024. The event will begin at 8:00 a.m. and last until 2:00 p.m. for township residents. Residents can drop off trash at the Franklin Township Building located on Route 288 in Fombell. POLICE: Weekly Police Blotter

ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON: Richard Alan Criss, 50, of Edinburg, is charged with Assault after an incident on March 23rd. According to a police report, and at approximately 7:50PM, police responded to a report of an active domestic in Mahoning township. Police found that Criss had engaged in a verbal argument with a 52-year-old female victim of Wampum before brandishing a gun and firing it in the direction of the victim. Groundbreaking Set For New Stonecrest Business Park

Groundbreaking for the Stonecrest Business Park will take place on Thursday, March 28th at 8:30 a.m. at 2298 Route 18 in New Beaver Borough. The 213-acre former site of Stonecrest Golf Course will be the first privately developed park built in Lawrence County in more than 40 years. Ellwood City couldn’t keep up with defending WPIAL and PIAA Champion Riverside and fell 17-2 on Monday afternoon and Sanders Field.
