POLICE: Weekly Police Blotter

HARRASSMENT:
Jacob Freed, 38, of Portersville, is charged with Harassment after an incident occurring on August 4th. According to a report, PA State Police were informed by a 21-year-old victim that Freed had pushed her into a wall at a residence on Route 488, Perry Township, and refused to allow her to leave. The incident is reported to have taken place between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. and charges are pending according to the report.

RECKLESS DRIVING:
Chad Henry, 37, of Ellwood City is charged with Reckless Driving after an incident occurring on June 21st. According to a criminal complaint, and at approximately 6:08 p.m., police responded to a residence on Van Gorder Mill Rd., Perry Township for a report of a hit and run crash. Police later located Henry who related police that he had crashed his car into the victims retaining wall because he was on his phone while operating his vehicle. Officers asked Henry for his insurance to which he presented an expired insurance card according to a the complaint.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF:
Dominic Falen, 22, is charged with Criminal Mischief after an incident occurring on July 12th. According to a criminal complaint, and at approximately 9:22p.m., police were dispatched to a residence on Oswald Street on a report of criminal mischief. The victim advised officers that Falen had pushed a motor off of a table in the victims garage causing damage. According to the victim, Falen’s girlfriend had been contacting a friend of the victims, making Falen jealous the complaint relates. Surveillance video from the garage provided to police corroborates with the victims interview. The damage, according to the complaint, accrues to a total of $1,600.00.

DUI:
Marie Margel, 32, of Wampum, is charged with DUI after a traffic stop occurring on July 3rd at approximately 4:50 p.m. on River Road near the intersection with Galamarini Line. Officers made contact with Margel after activating their lights for speeding and upon approach to her vehicle observed symptoms of intoxication. Police had Margel conduct a series of Standard Field Sobriety Tests which she failed according to a criminal complaint.
